Map Recording

This section explains how to create a custom map target with the Android Sample APP.

To initialize a recording, the map target creator needs Image Target VARIMG_000. After placing the image target into the scene, select 'RECORD MAP' in the sample APP. Once VARIMG_000 is detected, a 3-dimensional axis of the target's reference frame will be visualized. This axis serves as the origin of the map target. Red dots will visualize Map features and indicate the coverage of the recording. To record a map target, move the camera across your target area.

Note

Slow and smooth movement will enhance the mapping and registration accuracy.

After mapping the target area, press the SAVE MAP button to save the map target data on your device.

The new Map can now be tracked by selecting TRACK MAP.
